As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a shade over Rilrose , the friends gathered in the school’s courtyard. Magnus stood before them, his wise eyes glowing with pride and concern.

He explained that the next phase of their training would be their toughest yet – a series of dangerous challenges designed to test their inner strength.

'Today, you must conquer your fear. We shall go into the Forgotten Forest, and I suspect one of you has already been there,' Magnus said looking at Henry.

'I figured you knew about it,' Henry said.

'I’m proud of you for taking a risk, not many students are that brave and you already know what some of the forest possesses.'

They followed Magnus through the dense undergrowth, their footsteps muffled by centuries-old leaves. They went deeper into the woods, shadows showing ominous warnings, and their voices carried on the wind.

Their first trial involved navigating through towering trees, their branches forming a confusing web. They needed to rely on their instincts. Their footsteps were quick. The trees seemed to shift and morph before their eyes, attempting to disorient them.

But they kept their wits about them, leaning on each other for support. After what felt like an eternity, they emerged from the web victoriously, their faces streaked with pride. They had passed the first test.

'Well done my students, but all of you were following Henry’s lead, his experience is a guide, but with time you must find your own inner strength.,' Magnus said.

The second trial tested their magical skills. They found themselves face-to-face with a fearsome creature, its form shifting and twisting with each passing moment.

Using spells and enchantments, they sought to pierce the monster and banish it from their midst. It was a contest of wills, a test of their mastery. Collectively, they made the menace disappear.

'Nice job now, that's what I call teamwork,' Magnus said.

'What must we face next?' Mary asked.

The final trial involved crossing a rickety bridge that spanned a deep chasm. They gingerly stepped across the creaking planks, the wind howled around them, threatening to knock them off balance.

But with passion burning in their hearts, they refused to let their trembling limbs falter. Exhausted but undeterred, they emerged from the forest, victorious in the face of adversity. They had proved their mettle.

'I would say you all deserve a passing grade in the Forgotten Forest today, but this is only the beginning, for the Order of Shadows is preparing for the showdown. You must make your hearts pure and rid yourself of fear, then you will be ready. This is of the utmost importance.'

'What do you know about the Order of Shadows?' Olivia asked Magnus.

'Our coven has battled them for ages, yet the prophecy has yet to be fulfilled, that my students are your destinies. You must defeat them together but divided you shall fail.'

'When will the final battle take place?' asked Mary.

'That is for you to find out.' Magnus gave the group a stern look and then disappeared.

III The Oracle

Rilrose High School loomed before them, a bastion of light standing against the encroaching Order of Shadows.
